Why would you make a good member of the PTA Board?
I will make a good member of the PTA Board because I am knowledgeable about, and adhere to, the vision, mission, purpose, and policies of the PTA. In my tenure as the 2023-2024 PTA Board President, I have displayed my enthusiasm in making sure things are done ethically and fair, I will dedicate my time to ensure PTA performs to expectancy, and that I utilize my creativity to increase school spirit amongst the RES Royal Family community.
Why are you interested in the selected position(s)?
Being apart of the board places me in close proximity of adjusting the climate of RES. I am able to advocate for the students, parents, teachers, staff, and community stakeholders. The board provides a means to being creative in bridging the gap in communication, family involvement, scholars excitement to come to school and learn, as well as other things.
What skills and expertise would you bring to the PTA Board?
I am a strategic solutions provider with outstanding portfolio/program management and conflict management skills, accomplished leader known for leading and implementing successful change management in projects (establishing and building credibility with executive teams and staff), and effective collaborator and team player who drives solutions (utilizing my expertise in communication).
Have you ever held a position on a PTA Board?
Yes, I have held the position of President (1year) and Vice - President (1 year).
What is one initiative that you would like to see incorporated by the PTA?
One initiative I would like to see incorporated by the PTA is more family engagement. Provide more family outing opportunities - will create a sense of school allegiance for all. Fall Festivals, school socials, movie nights, etc. will provide an outlet for parents to have activities to do with their scholar(s).

I am committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment within our school community by actively seeking out new and creative ways to enrich the educational journey of our children. As a member of the board, I will work tirelessly to ensure that our PTA continues to thrive and evolve, bringing fresh ideas and initiatives to the table that will benefit everyone involved. With a passion for collaboration and a drive for continuous improvement, I am confident in my ability to make a positive impact and contribute meaningfully to the success of our school.

I am interested in the role of Executive Vice-President because I will be able to utilize my leadership abilities on the PTA Board at Renaissance Elementary School. With a focus on dedication and proactive problem-solving, I am confident in my ability to meet the needs of our school community in this capacity. I am dedicated to promoting awareness of key issues and fostering collaboration to discover creative solutions. As a team player with a passion for education, I am committed to working towards the betterment of our school and ensuring that the voices of parents, teachers, and students are heard and valued. I have extensive experience working with youth of all ages, and I am dedicated to supporting their development and education. What is one initiative that you would like to see incorporated by the PTA?
As a candidate, I advocate for the implementation of an awareness week dedicated to fostering cultural understanding and acceptance among students. This initiative aims to provide a platform for students to explore diverse cultural experiences, promote awareness, and encourage acceptance of differences. Throughout the week, students will engage in activities aimed at developing empathy and inclusivity towards their peers. Furthermore, the initiative will focus on equipping students with essential personal development skills to enhance their self-confidence, motivation, and self-esteem. By embracing diversity and nurturing personal growth, we can create a more inclusive and harmonious school environment that celebrates the richness of our cultural tapestry.

Why would you make a good member of the PTA Board?
As a father of 2 kids, education is the one of the cornerstones of my livelihood. Also helping kids in my community is very important to me. Being a voice for the kids when they don't have the courage to do so. That is why I'd make a great member.
Why are you interested in the selected position(s)?
I'm interested cause the kids in our school have needs and I want to help them with those needs. Giving them the exposure to those dreams they have.

I'll bring excellent communication and interpersonal along with a commitment to creating a friendly environment.

Helping the families when end of the year testing start.

Hard working, been working with the school district over 10 years, thrive at being a leader and getting the job done
Why are you interested in the selected position(s)?
Corresponding with members/parents, planning and updating the system with announcements is something I enjoy doing. I always try and make sure I put myself in positions where I can become an asset and thrive.

More involvement from parents and administrators, so the students can have more activities throughout the school year.

I am dedicated to building strong bonds amongst the RES community.
Why are you interested in the selected position(s)?
Being a treasurer will give me insight on the processes utilized in serving the RES community. And, I am a numbers lady!
What skills and expertise would you bring to the PTA Board?
Strong interpersonal skills that cultivates positivity and engagement while motivating and showing genuine teamwork within the PTA community.

I'd make a great member for the PTA board because l'm deeply committed to supporting our school community and ensuring every child gets the best possible education. I'm organized, dedicated, and eager to contribute my skills to help make positive changes within the school.
Why are you interested in the selected position(s)?
I'm interested in this position because I believe in the importance of parental involvement in education and the positive impact it can have on student success. As a member of the PTA board, I can actively contribute to shaping policies, organizing events, and advocating for the needs of both students and parents, ultimately fostering a more supportive and enriching school environment.
What skills and expertise would you bring to the PTA Board?
I bring a diverse set of skills to the PTA board, including organization, communication, and leadership. With my background in teaching, I can contribute to various aspects of PTA initiatives, from organizing fundraisers to developing effective communication strategies. Additionally, my ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and problem-solve creatively will help drive positive change within our school community.

Yes, I was the Teacher Representative for the 23-24 school year.
What is one initiative that you would like to see incorporated by the PTA?
I think it would be beneficial for the PTA to implement a program that promotes mental health awareness and support within schools, providing resources and workshops for both students and parents.
The Royal Chat (TRC)
TRC is the all inclusive version of Dads and Doughnuts.
TRC is on Thursdays from 7:10 to 8:10 in the Parent Liaison Room
TRC provides scholars space to express themselves and get guidance.
TRC will have a counselor at the meetings.
TRC will have refreshments.

Candidate nominations will be provided electronically on 4/16/24. You will be able to see -on the PTA website- who is running.
Voting will be done virtually.
Voting will take place on 4/23/2024 - a virtual link will be sent out.
